Learn the Basics of Flat Stitch Beading
Discover the art of traditional Indigenous beadwork with our Beaded Pop Socket Class — a fun and creative way to learn the fundamentals of flat stitch beading while crafting your very own unique pop socket!
This 4-hour beginner class will teach you the foundational techniques used in traditional flat stitch beadwork, focusing on precision, pattern layout, and finishing touches.
All supplies are included — so you can simply show up ready to create.
In this class, you will learn:

How to complete two full rows of beading using flat stitch technique

How to apply rhinestone banding for added depth and shine

How to add a vinyl backing and learn the basics of edge finishing.
By the end of this session, you’ll have completed your first beaded pop socket, gained confidence with beading tools and materials, and developed the skills needed to continue your next projects independently.
Included in this class:
Beads, Beading Needle, Thread, Pellon, Rhinestone Banding, Vinyl Backing, Pop Socket Base, and Glue.
Participants will also have the option to purchase additional beads in their choice of colors.
