We donate 100% of the proceeds from any Orange Campaign items to a scholarship fund we have created for Residential School Survivors and Descendants. The scholarship is open to any Indigenous individuals and their descendants in the US or Canada who were sent to government or church-run residential schools. The individual who is chosen each year may utilize the scholarship money in whatever way helps them overcome the challenges and barriers that residential schools created for them or their family members, whether that be to go to post-secondary school, start a business, take part in a project, learn their language. The first scholarship will be awarded in May of 2023 for $6000. Through a generous donation by Anishinaabe Bimishimo, a female-owned Indigenous business, the 2024 scholarship award already has $3000 and will be added to every time Orange Campaign items are sold. We can't thank Anishinaabe Bimishimo enough for their generous participation and contributions to our scholarship fund.
